It has come to the attention of the Youth Adult Gaming Association that individuals in the community have accused both YAGA and the Pathways game in particular of Satanic practices. There have also been allegations regarding our status as a legal entity so I will attempt to include as much as possible in this briefing.

First off, regarding our status as a legal entity:
The Youth Adult Gaming Association is a registered corporation under the Washington State Corporations Division inside the Secretary of State’s office. Our UBI (reference) number is 602097529. This can be verified on the Secretary of State’s homepage, the URL is www.secstate.wa.gov. Corporate Headquarters is located at 7924 210th Pl NE Arlington, Washington 98223 and the current Chief Executive Officer is James Flatmo.

Regarding the other issues:
Neither the Youth Adult Gaming Association nor Pathways condones or supports the Occult or Satanism. Our current policy is that an individual’s religious beliefs are his or her own and at the current time we have no religion in our games to avoid potentially offending anyone.

Many YAGA staff members are Christians themselves, including all current members of the Board of Directors. While YAGA does not maintain any form of religious discrimination, no currently known members of YAGA’s staff engage is Satanic or Occult activities.

It is true that the staff of the Pathways LARP is currently working on producing an in-game religion system for possible use with the game. This is being carefully constructed to avoid references or practices from existing real life religions and will, if implemented, be an optional component to the game. In-game religion would be used only to enhance the game and is not intended for real life practice.
