Among the mortal races, the Elves have one of the longest and most obscure histories. Despite their connection with almost every major event in history, very little has been recorded of them. Many scholars believe that they have changed little in thousands of years, although with little documentation it is difficult to know one way or the other.
The elves are connected to the forests, and are rumored to be created by Eraen herself. As the forests have been pushed back so have the Elves, who now number only a fraction of their former population.
Elves live in grand cities that are designed to complement the surrounding nature rather than overtake it. Many cities are built in the trees, with overhanging bridges and rock formations acting as paths on the ground levels. Elven culture stresses duty and stewardship rather than heroism and glory.
Their relationship to nature is considered holy, and while they have few "religious" ceremonies they have many rituals such as elaborate hunting rites and marriage ceremonies. Most Elves worship Eraen although Silveen is very common as well. Most of the other Gods are respected but comparatively few Elves actively worship them.
Elves pay one less point for Weapon Mastery and need one less tag to advance in magic. They pay one extra point for poison and trap related skills. Any weapon masteries they purchase may only used with a single weapon type.
Costuming/Makeup
Elves all have pointed ears which must be represented with prosthetics. Elves tend to dress in greens and whites. Their clothes tend to be simple, yet elegant, and even the common warrior makes sure that his clothes are clean and his armor in good repair. Elves tend to avoid piercings, tattoos, and other body decorations, seeing such marks as impurities on the body.
