Little is known about the dark elves and their ways. What is known is largely exaggerated and rumor-filled, for the dark elves inspire fear in most other races.

The dark elves live in a vast desert that includes only a single city. Although the city is considered "safe" to the other races, this is only by the grace of it's inhabitants, who kill anyone who strays outside certain boundaries. Although few of the dark elves live inside the city, other dark elven settlements have never been found, leading most to believe that there are either a very small number of dark elves or they are very well hidden. The latter is suspected.

What the dark elves do under the sands is anyone's guess, but most agree that it can't be anything good. When outside their own lands they very rarely act "evil", but they methodically plan their crimes to cause the most possible amount of carnage and destruction.

Few dark elves allow outsiders to know their name, most become known by a 'nickname' earned on the battle field.

Dark elves don't like members of any other race, although they can tolerate them long enough to do whatever job they intend to do. Dark elven honor is paramount, so if a dark elf gives his word of honor, even to an outsider, the bond will be kept no matter what.
