The Fighter is easily the most recognizable form of Hero. Many songs and epics are written about the skills, bravery and strength of these Warriors. The Fighter is frequently the backbone of his party, felling foes with his mighty sword and withstanding wounds that would cripple an ordinary man. Few tales are complete without a Fighter's blade finishing off the evil dragon, or a Knight charging a castle to rescue the beautiful damsel.

Fighters are the masters of arms, and most are skilled in the use of several weapons. This does not make all fighters equal, however - some fight with the strength of many normal men, while others fight with more tactical skill, disarming and maiming their opponents in an attempt to strike less well-protected areas.

Few Fighters learn magic or music, lending credence to the theory that they aren't as intelligent as Mages. This is not always the case, it's just that they spend so many hours honing their skills that they don't have time to study spellbooks. A few rare Fighters have gained enough favor with their god to learn a few simple prayers, but for the most part a Fighter relies on his strength and his wits in combat.
